| I hardly ever post on TT.net, but I figured I'd post over here to get some input/opinions. Here is my post from 300ZXClub: Well... multiple teardowns and a job layoff later - my Z is finally running the way that it should. It took forever, but I promised I'd post some dyno results with GT28R turbos and AAE manifolds. I think there are quite a few people that will be suprised at the results. Here are my current mods: Performance: * Rebuilt engine - All stock internals except for Wiseco pistons (.020 over). Balanced rotating assembly. * GT28R turbos * AAE (Jon Abeler) manifolds * Specialty Z 5 bolt SS divorced downpipes * UR Underdrive pulley * JWT pop charger Other: * EGR removed * Throttle body coolant bypassed Keep in mind that I have a 96 (no VVT)... the power curve is going to look a bit different. Also keep in mind that this is with stock exhaust (everything after the downpipes), stock injectors, and a stock ECU. All pulls were done at a measly 8.8 psi and in 4th gear. Pull 1 Pull 2 Pull 3 Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the results. If we assume a 20 percent drivetrain loss, that's exactly 400bhp... A 100HP increase over stock without raising boost or ECU tuning??? I think I've got a pretty good platform to keep building on. I can't wait for injectors, exhaust, and an ECU.. I'm amazed at how much difference these turbos and manifolds are making at such a low boost level! Just for fun, here is a graph from when I first purchased the car (about twenty minutes before the engine seized from a spun rod bearing): Horrible stock dyno
